hello

Today I'm over on the Hero Arts blog sharing a sparkly tri-fold card. And since I had so much fun creating that card, I made another one with some leftover supplies lying around.

I'm really loving the gold and navy color combo and that hello bubble stamp is just too cute!

Happy Monday!

thank you for being you

Hi there!

Today I've been having some fun playing with watercolors and I used a fun technique I learned in the Clean + Simple 2 Online Card Class.

To create the background I started by embossing the Hero Arts Looped Flower image on watercolor paper. Then I added shades of blue and green watercolor paints and then before it dried I sprinkled it with salt!  That's how I got that awesome speckled texture!

Since I wanted the background to be the focus of the card, I just added a greeting from the Hero Arts Remember Your Kindness stamp set, a felt heart and a Martha Stewart doily.

(Thanks to Kristina for sharing this fun technique!)

BasicGrey + CardMaker Magazine Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to my stop on the BasicGrey + CardMaker Magazine Blog Hop!

Today we are sharing cards made with the gorgeous True Love collection from BasicGrey.

The main focal point was stamped using images from the Amore clear stamp set. I especially like the "love" sentiment and once I found the coordinating ink colors it all came together.

And I just love the trio of buttons + brads off to the side...they were the perfect embellishment to finish off the card!

Supplies: True Love 6x6 Paper Pad, True Love Buttons and Brads, True Love Amore Clear Stamp Set, Hero Arts Wet Cement Ink, Hero Arts Tide Pool Ink, Jenni Bowlin Chewing Gum Ink, Festive Berries Distress Ink, cream cardstock, corner rounder, brown marker, string, foam adhesive

Your next (and last) stop on the hop is the BasicGrey blog -- and I hear there is an awesome giveaway, so be sure to check it out!

Thanks for stopping by!

BasicGrey True Love: All You Need Is Love

Hi there! Today I'm sharing a card made from the gorgeous BasicGrey True Love collection. I really love the colors in this line and found them very fun to work with.

There are some adorable banner flags on the sticker sheet, so I created my own banner anchored by a couple of pink brads.

And for the sentiment I ended up cutting the stamp apart to create a horizontal sentiment. I love to do this with my clear stamps....it makes them so much more versatile! You can easily piece them back together how they were intended.

I'll be back next week with another card to share from True Love.

Have a great weekend!
