2014 Hero Arts Catalog Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my stop on the 2014 Hero Arts Catalog Blog Hop! There are so many awesome new stamps and products coming out soon and I'm excited to give you a peek at a few of them.

My first card uses two new clear stamp sets. The first one is called Enjoy Today (CL759) and has a great mix of sentiments in a fun script font. The "hello there" sentiment is definitely a favorite of mine! And the other clear set is called Butterfly and Flower (CL750) which has a mix of solid and outline images to create some fun layered images. There are also coordinating dies to this set and I can't wait to get my hands on them!

My next card uses a popular new background stamp called Tiny Flags (S5881) that I'm guessing many of you have already seen. I can already tell this will be one of those stamps that I will hang on to forever! And that awesome sentiment is a woodblock stamp called Birthday Chart (K5900). I love the bigger size of this sentiment and it's great for making quick cards!

Be sure to leave a comment on this post for your chance to win a prize pack from Hero Arts! Winners will be randomly chosen from ALL of the blog hop comments received by midnight PST on Sunday, December 22.

Now it's time to head on over to the last stop on the hop -- the Hero Arts Blog!

Remember, if you find a link that doesn't work, you can always hop back to the Hero Arts Blog for a list of direct links to all the blogs in the hop.

BasicGrey: Persimmon

Hey there! Today I've got a simple Halloween card to share that uses the fabulous BasicGrey Persimmon collection.

All the papers are from the 6x6 paper pad and the sentiment circle and stars are from the chipboard sticker pack.

The stickers are great for making quick cards, but I still like to add a little extra something to make them stand out. So, I added some Glossy Accents to the stars and some glitter to the sentiment using a Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember

Hey there! I'm so excited to share in the STAMPtember fun over at Simon Says Stamp today!

Here's a little bit about the event:

Simon Says Stamp was founded in 2002 with an interest in exclusively selling rubber stamps. It didn’t take long until we realized we couldn’t stop there. During the past 11 years we celebrate rubber stamping in its full glory by giving access to people around the world to a one stop shop. Rubber stamps still remain the heart of our business and we are celebrating by hosting a STAMPtember® event intended to inspire, educate, and celebrate the greatness of rubber stamping. Part of the enticement of rubber stamping is that stamps can be used in creating or complementing ANYTHING! From stamping dates on bank documents and postage parcels in the early 18th century, rubber stamping has dramatically expanded to include card making, scrapbooking, mixed media, life documenting, art journaling, and many forms of altering and expressing art.

Here's a peek at the card I made that is featured on the Simon Says Stamp blog today...click HERE to check out the whole card!

There are so many new amazing STAMPtember products -- here are some of my favorites that I picked up:

A big thanks to Simon Says Stamp for having me as a guest today -- it was so much fun!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Operation Write Home: Birthday Bash 2013

Welcome to my stop on the Operation Write Home Birthday Bash Blog Hop! Today I'm sharing two cards made with my all time favorite OWH stamp set, Year Round Sentiments.

I love the simple messages in this set. The "I love you" sentiment I used on the card below is probably one of the most used sentiments that I have.

The heart was stamped with Hero Arts Splash Chalk Ink and the sentiment with Pale Tomato Mid-Tone Shadow Ink.  I clear embossed the Tiny Stars Background on kraft cardstock, which is a perfect complement to the stars in the heart image.

For my next card I used the small star image to create a diagonal pattern with some yummy Hero Arts Shadow Inks.

I added a glossy shine to a few of the stars using the Sakura Clear Glaze Gel Pen, which is perfect for small detailed images!

You can see all the Hero Arts/Operation Write Home stamps that are available HERE.

Now it's time to head on over to Paula's blog!

Thanks for stopping by!

absolutely awesome

Hi there! Sorry it's been so quiet around here this summer. My kiddos start school next week and I really hope to get into a better blogging routine then.

First up today I have a card to share using the Simon Says Stamp Absolutely craft die and On Edge stamp set.

The words "awesome" were stamped with various colors of Hero Arts shadow inks. And those three adorable hearts in the corner are from the Simon Stamp Stamp Mini Hearts craft die...a definite favorite of mine!

The background was stamped with the versatile Hero Arts Pinstripe background using Fresh Peach Shadow Ink.

Also, today I am thrilled to have cards up on both the Simon Says Stamp blog and Hero Arts blog! Here's a couple peeks at those cards...

Thanks for stopping by...hope you have an awesome day!

Hero Arts Stamp Your Story Blog Hop

Hi there! Welcome to my stop on the Hero Arts Stamp Your Story Blog Hop! Today we are showcasing some of the fabulous products from the Stamp Your Story line, which can be found HERE in the Hero Arts Online Store.

My card features both the Journal Letters and Sketchbook Letters clear stamp sets along with the Happy Thoughts and Little Moments woodblock sets.

The label frame looks like it is one stamp, but I actually combined the bracket and striped frame images from Happy Thoughts to create it. The stamps were super easy to line up with the help of a stamp-a-ma-jig. And I used my favorite new Mint Julep ink, which i'm a little addicted to right now. ;) Don't you just love it when you discover a new use for a stamp?!? It makes me just a tad giddy!

The letters were stamped with Neon Orange ink and the heart with Neon Pink ink. To finish off the card I covered the letters with Glossy Accents and the heart with Crystal Stickles to add lots of shine and texture!

Be sure to leave a comment on this post for your chance to win a giveaway from Hero Arts! They will randomly select a winner from all comments left along the hop.

Your next stop on the hop is the very funny and talented Julie Ebersole!

If you come across any broken links or would like to start the hop from the beginning just head on over to the Hero Arts Blog.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
